i played last night for a few hours. totally fine. just tried to play right now and it's saying i'm banned until 4/2 for camping spawn?? what's going on here? is this for going into sniper spawn and destroying teles? is this for piping sniper spawn? both of which i thought were allowed. once you get into sniper spawn and destroy teles and then you can't exit because the turret from the roof is out and the door doesn't open for you - what are you supposed to do? do you have to suicide at this point? are you allowed to throw nades while you're trapped there?
Oh, boy... here we go again....

Going for teles is legal.

IF you get trapped between the turret and the deck door, you don't get to attack freshly spawned players. You either wait for the turret to retract and run by it again(which is safest AS it's retracting), or someone opens the deck door from the outside and you run out that way.

No target = spam. Illegal target(freshly spawned player) = going for cheap kills. Both, in the respawn, is a banable offense.

For clarity; even if you are attacked while you're waiting, it's really bad form to do anything other than run away. Because at that point you've crossed into "camping the respawn for cheap kills" territory.

Also, if you want my advice: If you go up the dropdown(which IS allowed for telehunting), hug the inner wall, grab any health packs you need, toss your grenade at the teleporter(s), then run back the way you came and hug that wall again. If you're quick about it, the turret won't get you.

That is my method for doing that. It's perfectly legal, and relatively safe.
you might want to specify which entrance/exit you were piping. Some are ok, others are not.

got it - thanks for the response. i think i'm banned for fighting while stuck waiting for turret to go away. sucks for me :(

It's not a good idea to pipe anywhere inside, even if your intent is to catch someone coming IN the deck door. It's too easy to mistake that for trying to get a cheap kill from someone exiting.

Yeah. I wasn't there, but if I understand the info you've put forth, waiting for the turret could be viewed as camping, if you end up in a fight. That's why it's best to be non-aggressive and just run away. Even if someone shoots first. That way, you won't be seen as looking for a cheap kill.

I was referring to the outside of drop down or battlement. One is ok, the other is not.
Oh, I gotcha Moose. Yeah, the Battlement side of the door is 100% legal. The dropdown is not. That is correct.
Wasn't just piping it waiting for fresh spawns, it was for throwing a mirv at freshly spawned players (it hit the back door of the spawn) before you went looking for teleporters

I reduced the length of the ban though
