you should not be an admin
You probably mean that I shouldn't be admin, since I was the one who kicked you.

for what. that fucking fool was in out sniper resup 2 of my 3 times i left spawn, and the third he was camping looking for cheap kills
NOOKIE: WALNUTS
NOOKIE: GET OUT OF OUR SPAWN AND FUCKING PLAY THE GAME
Mr. Walnuts: no whining
puppy: si
NOOKIE: playing like a bitch like always
Buckets: says the guy whining like one
* NOOKIE usually whines, banned for 5 minutes.

i see nothing wrong with that. as i said, he was in the sniper resup or piping for cheap kills of people leaving sniper resup. get skill. calling out admins for their shitty play style is apparently frowned upon now.
From !rules:
NO WHINING
This includes whining about spammers, cheaters (see below), hwguys, lag, being kicked, infected teammates, new players, excessive use of 'gay', etc.
From MOTD:
* Dont whine about people being infected, be a medic or deal with it
From Admin guidelines:
Generally, bashing an entire class (for example, saying the phrase 'hwgay' automatically gets a whine), a certain play style (spamming, defense), someone sitting in spawn while infected, lag, noobs, or bitching about teammates in public chat will deserve a !whiner -- (Using team chat is much more forgiving, as telling your team not to sit in spawn infected might let new players know not to do it, even if its laced with insults)

brooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo if that was you as an hw, get some skill
Nookie has told me Walnuts was doing his inner spawn pipetrap deal again. GratefulDead was banned about 10 days ago for attacking others in spawn as Demo (granted, you state a MIRV was involved).

However, dozens of us still see this as a "rules for thee, but not for me" type situation where Walnuts is granted immunity (or conversely, laying pipes around a blind spawn corner to trigger a victim's twitch reaction as a flimsy excuse to instantly kill fresh spawns is only allowed because Walnuts has been the one doing it).

It is not even arguable that this is Walnuts' primary motivation. He spends an overwhelming chunk of his gametime piping spawn from the outside, and now he's weaseled his way into being allowed to do so from inside now as well. Anybody with functioning fingers can toss a nade or pipes or whatever, destroy any teles that need destroying, and get back out dropdown without taking fatal (or even any) damage. It's clear Walnuts is there to linger and fish for further easy spawn kills.

What constitutes respawn spamming/camping?
There is no fine line for someone to walk on this rule. The general rule of thumb is to not try to get cheap kills from people spawning. We want to provide protection from people sitting outside the spawn door with a pipe trap,

They haven't even made it to the door yet. 9_9

It's nonsense, and the hypocrisy is understandably pissing a lot of your regulars off.

If you go on record to state that this is allowed for all players, I'd appreciate it, so I can get a gang together to show you why this is an immeasurably stupid precedent. Or do the more sensible thing and acknowledge that this is clearly a stupid loophole (which primarily only an admin can get away with) which violates the intention of the spawn rules.

Apropos of nothing, but Buckets with the burn!!! Didn't know he had it in him.
If Walnuts is laying pipe traps inside the sniper spawn, then that's against server rules. Is there proof of this?

BUCKETS MVP.

The whole not spamming the respawn official rule is pretty ambiguous apart from the clause about spy gas grenades which is explicitly mentioned. "There is no fine line" and "There are legitimate reasons to spam the spawn as well" are found in the official rule against spamming the spawn. The tenor seems to be not getting "cheap kills" but in away demos piping the hallways to the flagroom and camping in the rafters are, arguably, getting cheap kills.

If Walnuts was piping outside the sniper exit door from what I understand that is legal; annoying, but legal. The unwritten rule of the server appears to be no throwing nades or any form of spamming up the wall into the sniper spawn from the hallway leading to the ramp room and likewise no wanton spawn killing inside of the sniper spawn. The only reason to be in the enemy sniper spawn is to take out teleporters and be on your merry way. If someone respawns there while taking out the teleporters you can fight back but still need to make a hasty exit. You can't crouch walk out as a demo while piping the spawn while exiting.

I think there are more shades of gray with the 2nd floor respawn near the ramp room. That is often a hot area with concjumping medics and scouts often bumping into newly spawned players on top of people entering the 2nd floor from the ramp room. I don't think it would be within the realm of cheap kills if you have a nade primed and readied upon landing on the enemy sniper deck to throw down the hall into the 2nd floor provided you intend to continue to the spiral or the elevator. Especially so if there's an SG in the 2nd floor mezzanine; you have both the SG and respawning players to worry about. Like the spy grenade, maybe we can allow one "hail mary" nade thrown from the sniper deck into the hallway landing outside the 2nd floor mezzanine respawn. Yes, someone might get a cheap kill, but that means one less nade for them if they make it to the basement. The cheap kill is at the expense of an extra nade for the basement. There's also a chance the nade is totally wasted. I would gladly be cheap killed if it meant the opponent having no nades for the basement. Just my two cents.
!report instead of pubchat whining...goes for anyone, about anyone

Walnuts was sitting on the sniper deck piping it. He was standing against the spawn door in the corner, pipes were near the edge of the battlements. Even if the pipes were against the spawn door, battlements is still fair game for that.

Quite a bit different than Gratefuldead who went into spawn throwing a mirv at the back door and then piping inside it without trying to get out.

The moment that Nookie was whining about it, walnuts was in their water spiral, nowhere near spawn. I'm assuming he was whining about a few minutes earlier when walnuts was on their deck, otherwise he was completely making it up. Kinda like the posts in here talking about Walnuts piping in spawn...
Walnuts get skill

*HOLDS CHAMPS BELT*

Spoofer. You should get your gang and do the piping in the spawn thing. Clearly its not against the rules. Just dont det them until you are fired upon.

Be like the scene in the 2nd LOTR when the hordes of Orcs were upon the gates of Gondor and one of the slippery fingered archers prematurely fires an arrow.

Just wait for a slippery fingered neckbeard to pop around the corner and then you and your gang can be the Orc Horde. Can infiltrate deeper into the spawn and just unload all your grenades and blue pipes and light that spawn up.
Another Walnuts thread about being a terrible admin and player.

What number is this? I don't understand the bond between Drippy and Walnuts. Walnuts admin should of been removed the day after he got it.

Further, do you guys REALLY and I mean this serious, want to see me come back and do this BS walnuts does in the spawn, every second, of every match? What's the server going to do when Nug, Nookie, Spoofer, Upset etc. get annoyed enough because of this dipshit admin and just trolls the entire server?

You do realize how easy this would be for us? yes?

Lol, making it up? Are you oblivious to the countless posts about Walnuts just being terrible in general. Are YOU walnuts? It's the only thing that would make sense at this point.

This. Right here. Show us the evidence that Walnuts is doing something illegal, "since he's doing it all the time".

I have snuck into the server on numerous occasions, and spec'd Walnuts because of these complaints, and yes, I've watched him play for hours on end at this point. I have yet to see him do something like what you guys are describing.

Piping the door from the deck is legal. We all know this.

Throwing a MIRV at 3-4 teleporters bunched together, yeah, that's been called legal as well. While I oppose that idea, what Drippy- says goes.

Cheap kills from freshly spawned players. Not "cheap kills of any kind". There's a difference.

Blindly throwing grenades from the Sniper Deck towards the main respawn's exit isn't allowed for that reason. You're free to prime one when you go around, in case you need it. Just toss it away from the door if you don't. It's pretty simple. If you die by the exit with one primed... yeah, bit of a loophole, but thems the breaks. Detpacks are allowed because that team gave you the time to set it.

But we're talking about Sniper Side... a topic which was covered in a thread I'll have to go dig up for you guys.

Here it is: https://www.lunaticrage.com/drippy/forum.php?a=vt&f=1&t=1550...
Y'all are arguing over the internet about play-style on a game twenty-some-odd-years old.

good job, you got one instance correct. now go back into the feed and see that when i killed him earlier he was IN the sniper spawn. and just before you decided to kick me for calling out his shit play style, we ran into each other, again, IN the sniper spawn. thats when the green pipes were being thrown around. come on derpy, use that hltv and do some DD on the subject matter. i mean, unless there was some other shitty demo playing the exact same way, then i guess you got me.
I took Nookie (and the half a dozen others who reached out to me yesterday to express they've similarly seen Walnuts continue to engage in this behavior throughout the past few months) at their word, especially since in the last topic Walnuts flat out admitted he does so, and then fiercely (and failingly) attempted to defend the practice. (I guess Walnuts was making it up that he does it too, though.)

But, I think we'd certainly be more than willing to consider the matter of Walnuts himself as moot if drippy is now clarifying that setting traps inside the door is now illegal going forward (since his only defense is that he didn't see Walnuts do it). Cool. We'll report from now on if we see it, and expect the same action taken against all players equally. Thanks!

Yep, that was puppy. He sat outside the spawn door, waited till it opened, went in, walked past and ignored you and another medic who spawned, threw a pipe and grenade at the teleporter, and then went out of spawn. No intent to get cheap kills from people spawning that I saw.

So if thats 'the exact same way' Walnuts has been playing, then you should know thats not against the rules to go after teleporters in spawn.

Now this is what the forums were made for: a good old fashioned Walnuts thread!
Poor walnuts is such a scapegoat for everyone's hostility

I'm chiming in on this post first... I'll get to others afterward....

I've banned Puppy on a few occasions for going in there looking for cheap kills. While this run may have been legal, I keep an eye on him, because he does still pull shit once in a while. I've no doubt he does it "rarely", as he knows I like to establish intent. I'm getting to the point where I think he tries to "walk the line" and only do it once in a while to make himself look good.

I still want to see proof that Walnuts does that shit.

Yeah, I had someone reach out to me yesterday as well. Not gonna name names, but Walnuts was only part of the conversation. Drippy- and other Admins already know what my other concern was, as I posted about it in the Admin section.

That aside, all I'm asking for is a demo of Walnuts actually doing what he is being accused of. Someone... ANYONE.... record it, and send it to me. Y'all know I have no problem calling out something I see as "not right" when it comes to this server, and this community.

While a demo from one perspective COULD be "out of context"... it will give a reference to the exact same event in the HLTV... from which we, as a community, can finally lay this shit to rest. It's starting to get old.

As I've said, I've spec'd him for hours on end, and not seen him do anything illegal. If someone has something on him other than "well, I saw <this>"... then either prove it, or STFU. As always(and how it should be), the burden of proof is on the accuser.
I've seen Walnuts pipe battlement, water spiral, box room, ele...... never seen him do anything illegal. He will try to piss you off, but then again only you can let that happen...
don't recall seeing walnuts piping in spawn. but spoofer says he admitted to it or something similar? doesn't mean it didn't happen but i've had a lot of hours over the years destroying walnuts scrub. i dunno. i did see him kick himself out of a match for using a mirv in spawn. i disagreed with that kick because he said it was a mistake, and it took out teles. i also have yet to see demos of what walnuts is accused of. again don't mean it didn't happen.

just so i fit in, fuck you walnuts.

Yeah, I've done that... !kicked myself for "You know better"(MIRV in the respawn against teles), even though I had accidentally hit the secondary grenade key instead of the primary. But that's why it was just a !kick.... I knew what the intent was.

Look, Neither Drippy-, nor myself are saying the incidents they are talking about DIDN'T happen.... No doubt if Drippy- had seen it happen, Walnuts would have been banned for it. Same if I had seen it happen(first hand). But that's why we're asking for proof that backs up your claims.

Walnuts could say that he enjoys dropping detpacks in Respawn during prematch on FF night... that doesn't mean he actually HAS done it.
